Tineke Riede

Batik artist Tineke Riede, was born in The Hague, Netherlands, and received her education in fine arts at the "Academie voor Beeldende Kunst" in Rotterdam. She now lives and works in Spijkenisse, Netherlands.

Although originally educated in painting and drawing, Tineke Riede was captured by the possibilities of making art in textiles. She has been working in batik since 1989.
