Tobin Rodman

Tobin Rodman identifies himself as a figurative artist. He explains: "For me, the figure represents both the greatest challenge in art and the greatest vehicle for expression. As the son of a figurative photographer, I have always been interested in how the human form is portrayed. From my current position, the female form seems the most expressive. In addition, the female nude is a socially loaded subject, which I feel should undergo some reexamination. I myself am constantly reexamining the way in which I portray this subject, in reaction to both those who view my work, and society at large. ...
